Jesus Christ works in people of all ages!

Yesterday, I was able to witness the baptism of a middle-aged friend that lives here at Jeff Street.  That was the first time I had ever seen anyone over the age of, say, six get baptized.  It really touched me because it was one more instance of God revealing to me His work in people of all ages, gender, races, past experiences, socio-economic situation, and circumstances.  He did this through His son Jesus Christ.  As it says in John 3:16,17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”  God sent Jesus for all of us.  He loves all of His creation and He wants to call us all children of God.  The baptism was a very good reminder that no one is too bad for God’s love because Jesus paid the price for all of our sins.  With Christ there is always hope for people.  I pray that God will constantly remind me of that, so that I never pass up an opportunity to share the Gospel with someone who I’ve written off as beyond God’s grace.

God Bless You All!
