Grace

How can I be Your hands
when I can’t lift a finger
How can I be Your feet
when I’d just rather linger

You call me a vessel
but I feel cracked and broken
Try to live a good life
but my service seems token

Yet I know You are here
In my weakness You are strong
I feel Your presence
and I know I’m where I belong

Grace, Grace, God’s Grace…
Grace

In my first week at HOPE, I am completely moved by the power of God’s grace in this place. I recognize that all that I have is because of His grace. The only reason I can serve here is because of His grace. I can do nothing on my own. It is God’s grace that is alive in this place that gives possibility to the meaningful friendships I am already beginning to form with the men here. And it is God’s grace that will transform all of us through this experience. Today I am thankful for God’s presence and His abundant grace.
